What is Dermisil-H and Dermisil-L?

Dermisil has an entire line of skin care products that offer natural cures for a wide array of skin maladies including warts, eczema and even herpes. Dermisil-H is designed to prevent outbreaks of herpes and is recommended to be used in conjunction with the Dermisil Lysine (Dermisil-L) formula which treats sores during an outbreak. The plant extracts that make up the Dermisil line are said to be proven “anit-viral” plant extracts that boost natural immunity and target the herpes virus.

Is it Safe?

The benefit of using a remedy like Dermisil, or any one of the other available products for the treatment of herpes, is they come from natural sources. Although even natural remedies are known to have unintended side effects, these are limited in natural remedies as compared to prescription drugs that are chemically manufactured. There have been no significant reports of serious side effects associated with Dermisil.

Active Ingredients

The active components of Dermisil are high levels of neral, geraniol, alpha-terpinenes, and linalool. It has been suggested that these active ingredients are effective anti-viral and anti-inflammatory components found in the plant extracts melissa offficinalis, melaleuca alternifolia, agathophyllum aromatica, avendula augustifolia, and additional key anti-viral plant extracts. All of these compounds have medically proven anti-viral properties and are thought to also be effective in combating the HSV1 and HSV2 virus that cause herpes.

Downside

The price tag is always a concern when choosing a product that claims to cure something naturally. Many of these products are very expensive and their effectiveness is always a matter of debate. In the case of Dermisil, they recommend you treat a herpes outbreak with a conjunction of two products. This can obviously increase your expenditures. It does very little good to treat an outbreak if you are doing nothing to prevent the probability of future outbreaks. If you choose to use a Dermisil product, you will have to buy two different bottles to accomplish what some other products offer as a package.

Recommendation

This is another product that comes highly recommended by a number of sources. It is difficult to trust many of the claims because they tend to be biased. It is also hard to make an objective review of natural products due to the lack of clinical research. This is not the case with many of the prescription drugs on the market but with such products you run a higher risk of side effects.

A number of people report to have seen relief by using Dermisil-H and Dermisil Lysine and have even reported a reduced number of outbreaks. Those claims are difficult to substantiate but overall users seems to be satisfied with this product. That being said, it is impossible to recommend Dermisil over any other product as it seems to be just as good as a number of competing products. Take into consideration the price of both products and compare that to any other medication for the treatment of herpes you may be considering.
